    Albanian SKS question

I try to avoid questions such as this, but as the market has fluctuated these last few years I will pose this question: Is an Albanian SKS worth more "in the grease," or as a specific firearm?

I've two SKS's, A Yugoslavian M59 and an Albanian, mostly "in the grease." I'd like to clean it up and shoot it, but I don't know. Opinions?

We found so many of those in Yugoicon, all nations but mostly local... Every hay stack had a couple cases under it. I don't even see them being worth what people pay now let alone more because it's in the grease...

The Yugoicon is just a nice rifle. It's been fired. The Albanian, a bit more rare. Maybe I'll just clean it up. I used to have seven, but kept these two.

Yes, they were well made and beautifully blued. They weren't made for midgets and shot fine. Should be a good useable example.

An Albanian SKS is going to command good ducats regardless of grease or no. They are rare, PAX

A "B" or "C" code Yugoicon M59 may be worth good bank too. About the same as an Albain, they're pretty scarce as well. PAX

albanians are so scarce they bring decent money in any condition , folks are willing to pay premium for them even if only to cannibalize for parts , so even if the rifle is a dog , the sum value of the parts could equal the value of a decent example , they are that uncommon , and i know at least 5 that have projects on hold due to lack of parts so i am certain there allot more projects than there are available rifles , i do not condone cannibalization of weapons , but if a example is gone far enough , that one could breathe life back into several
