too bad about the stop order for ammo hoarders. CMPicon should not be in the wholesale supply ammo business. I think ten boxes of o6 is plenty for everyone, just save the brass and begin the reloading process which will, as pointed out above, put you closer to your rifle/rifle's wants and likes. duggaboy

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. I think I smell some hypocrisy, here...

So, let me get this straight... when Obama and the Democrats want to place "reasonalble limits" on guns, ammunition, handguns, or whatever, that's bad, but when you guys can't afford to buy all the ammunition that you want now, then "reasonable limits," are good. What gives here?

For me, personally, I want the CMP to sell out of everything they have, BEFORE Obama and Democrats can manage to shut it down. And don't you think this isn't their ultimate goal. If any ammo or firearms remain in CMP hands when the program is eventually shut down, it will be demilled - destroyed, and no one will get any more. Every heard of a credit card? There are worse things than maxing out a credit card by buying "too much" ammo.

And how much is too much? Who says? You guys have already said that you can't find primers, bullets, and powder. How are you going to reload if that situation remains, or gets worse? Think about it.

For the record, and before I am accused of anything, I have never sold as much as a single cartidge of ammo that I have purchased from CMP, I have never sold any CMP guns or parts at a gun show. I do not have an FFL or a shop. But, I have bought as much ammo as I could afford when I went to Camp Perry to shoot in the matches.

You can't have it both ways.

Best regards to all. Keep your powder dry. Karl

    Thumbs up

Well O-Banner and his ilk create the fear mongering enviroment, and then a bunch of carpet baggers see an opportunity to reap great financial gains by wholesale buying and hoarding. The only difference I see is that O-Banner will ban guns and ammo and the carpet baggers will run the cost of owning and shooting up so high only a few will be able to own and shoot. Either way fear mongering economics will destroy our ability to defend ourselves. And you mentioned maxing out your credit cards to buy ammo, In my humble opinion that type of thinking and activity left unchecked has put our economy in deep do-do. And if you were to max out a card or two to buy ammo and the SHTF doesn't happen in the next couple of years then you are going to be sitting on a mountain of debt and the price of ammo and guns will come down and you will be left taking a big hit in the 6. I tried to use the spell check tool and apparently I haven't downloaded ispell yet, so pardon me if I goofed.
