Parker Hale's 1953 catalogue lists a set of detachable rings for Ex-Government No 53 MK.1.
For 1.02" diam scope List No D.T.M.5
The variation with lateral adjustment:
List No ADM.5 for 1.02" diam scopes.
Been looking for a set myself for a while with no success.
Wow, I never would have though it, I assumed they were artillary only and had a fixed mount...thanks
Hi Rodger, A German Co called Ajack made side mounted slide off scope mounts in the 50`s-60`s for Enfields and others, that have a windage ajustment. Look pretty cool, similar to the WW11 Mauser Sniper mount[which I think they made?].
Stuart.
Google Millett. They make them for Weaver/Picattiny bases.
Burris "Signature" rings have changable synthetic inserts that might be useful
