Hello again. I acquired a Weaver 330 with click adjustments. There was no electro-pencil engraving on the side. Could a very early 330 been used on the 1903A4 without the engraving? Any imput is appreciated. Thanks.

Yes it is possible. The earliest scopes used in A4 production were reportedly 330C's w/ cross wire reticles and 330 Scope - M.8's with tapered posts (and click stops).
That said the Weaver scopes were extremely popular on the civilian market both before and after WW2. In all likelihood its a civilian scope but it is type correct particularly for an early A4.
