If you have it look at Carbine Club Newsletter # 333 January 2006. It shows 4 different LA stamped stocks with other additional markings including the crossed cannon acceptance stamp in the sling well. They ranging from serial number 15xx with barrel dated 6-42 to serial number 23625 with barrel dated 9-42.
