Can someone please explain to me what I have?
I tried to do some research and if I understand correctly, these were pulled apart cleaned, inspected and reassembled requiring at least 80% of their original life?
If you have any questions or need to see any pictures please let me know and I will do my best.
The /2 is the modified "hung trigger" which attached the trigger mechanism to the receiver, not the trigger housing as in the mk 1.
They were marked /2or /3 depending on the model. *'s are the /3.
Mr. Laidler has no doubt spoken to the rebuild process and the parts therein. Check the stickey, above, for those threads.
If I were running a gun and pawn shop; (I grew up working in the gun and pawn business in Florida), and had a fair amount of milsurp rifles coming in, I think I'd invest in some good reference material. We certainly had a great reference library in the shop I started in as a kid. As far as Enfields go, why not invest the $100 in Ian Skennerton's "The Lee Enfield Rifle" so you have all of these questions answered at a moments notice? I have them in stock or you can get one direct from Ian's website. Just a thought.
