Surfing the Net I've found this pistol with a AS marking on the frame.
The pistol is a battered 1911A1 with a REMRAND slide on a US&S frame, and wondered if by any chance anybody knew about that AS marking. :confused:

Found it! It's an Italian proof mark for 1987
