Title 10 M1C sniper

Guys, this is my second try with this thread, first one didn’t go through. I would like your thoughts on my M1C sniper obtained through the Title 10 program. This was a means by which the military would trade weapons in their inventory, normally museums or such, with qualified civilians for items that the military needed for their displays. I have the documentation for this transaction. My rifle has been confirmed to be a legit “C” receiver by the GCA, has a Dec. 44 receiver and an April 45 bbl. Has the correct cartouches for that time frame and all correct interior parts. The rifle is mint, 99+% finish. It is equipped with a SA M2 flash hider, a Line manufacture cheek pad, a 44 dated sling, and a M-81, not 82, scope with 100% blue. The scope bracket serial number matches the receiver, the mount serial number is 200 numbers off. Both are numbered in the proper G&H font style. The mount is an original pre war G&H. The bracket is properly secured to the receiver by preening the inside of the receiver itself, since this was done prior to heat treatment. Post war and the Greek return rifles show the preening done to the bracket screws themselves since the receiver had been heat treated. Barrel is mint, MW a 3 and TE a 2, which is SA new for war production. I have tried researching various auction sites for a similar rifle, but all I have found were recent CMP guns that had been restored. Hope a guy or gal on the forum can give me an idea of its value..I have no desire to sell but my grandkids definitely want it. Thanks

Your description is clear but since I can't evaluate and only look, wondering if you could post some pics for us? Lots of us would love to see and it could be an important marker for comparison later. I just want to see a virtually new "C".

I have a M1C with Title 10 sales documents that I purchased at the Rock Island Auction Company (RIAC) several years ago. I also described a M1C with Title 10 papers for RIAC in May 2020. Both my rifle and the rifle I described last year had GCA letters. M1C rifles with Title 10 documentation are quite rare and in a different category from the M1C rifles CMP sold at auction in the 1990s. Apparently a very few (possibly less than 10) original M1C rifles were released by the Army thru the Title 10 program during the 1980s. My rifle and the rifle sold by RIAC last year were in the same general condition as the rifle in the your photographs. I would not describe any of the rifles as "Mint" but they are in excellent, original, condition. The CMP release of complete and partial M1C rifles from Greece and other sources really depressed the prices of M1C rifles. Arsenal overhauled M1C rifles with some CMP documentation are now relatively common. RIAC usually has one or more rebuilt M1C rifles with CMP papers in the premier auction and hammer prices range from $5000-7500. CMP auction rifles from the 1990s with boxes and accessories bring the highest prices. I sold a mint rebuilt CMP auction M1C with matching base and M82 scope for $7500 hammer at RIAC last year - that was probably about top dollar but much less than it would have sold for ten years ago. An original M1C rifle like yours is rare - in my opinion it should bring $12,000-15000 hammer or more at a quality auction like RIAC.
