STEN MK II Marked “ENGLAND” on Trigger Housing
Hello all! Does anyone know if original WW2 production STEN MKII’s were ever stamped “ENGLAND” on the trigger housing. Here in the US, several C&R transferable guns seem to have that marking which definitely looks hand stamped yet I see no reference at all to it in Peter’s book. My thought is the “ENGLAND” marking was applied when guns were originally Dewatted. Here’s a link to a Morphy auction for a STEN that has the mark? https://auctions.morphyauctions.com/_N__ORIGINAL_BRITISH_STEN_MK_II_MACHINE_GUN_WITH_P-LOT490232.aspx
Any thoughts?
