I got this spam can for my Fiinish Mosin. The can is missing the factory code as far as I can tell. Not sure exactly what it is. Can someone help identify it without me having to open it? Thanks.

IIRC,
This is Russian made for export by a company named Fronse (Sp?) I believe for a few years in the early 80's. Having NO factory code on the can is how I remember it was meant for Export. But don't bet the house payment on my info.

I literally just opened the can a few minutes ago.

Edit: I think it might have been spelled Frunse, but double check.
It's in the code 60 = Russian State Factory at Frunze, Kirgisia, Russia DOM December 1984 (C12-84) 440 rounds.
Not sure on the 179 could be projectile Grain's and the 82 ? no idea
My understanding is the 179 is either powder lot or factory and 82 is powder manufacture date. As I understand it.Quote:
