If the side of the body has been sanded or ground down, anything is possible, but while we've seen quite a few No4(T)s with those faint markings, the "T" stamps always seem well struck.
You can buy kits to "raise" effaced stamped markings on steel. You might want to try that.
But it could just be one of the "T less Telescope" rifles.
I looked again for that "T" COLD ZERO can't see it. I doubt the body side has been ground down Surpmil.....the original etched "No4 MK1" with serial number of rifle is still very visible. I shot the rifle today I will put the results on a new thread. Cheers.
