new gun room , here is the backstory , its a change of life for me

i have spent the last couple weeks frantically scrambling to move my massive accumulation of stuff from the office i have occupied for 20 years , we are moving , an event ive dreaded but knew was coming eventually , had hoped to have more that two and a half weeks to git-er-done tho

many of you may have seen so sorry to bore but here are the gun cabinets that have graced the office and displayed my collection , served as the backdrop for many of my photos , and added to the conversation in many threads over the years , - these were just loaded into the trailer of a friend going off to a new home .............

never fear my collection is intact less a few planned sales that have occured over the past year and actually a few select purchases over that period , and residing in my new gun room , the ammo was the big[heavy] move

Envy is the word I'm thinking.

Moving is very stressful.

I really like cabinets and racks that display the rifles with the receivers facing out. Easy to see you spent a lot of time on the layout.

alas - no plans , project started out with a 'shipping crate concept' and evolved as i tried to use up scrap lumber and hardware in my garage , i did spend a lot of time measuring and figuring with each rifle varient , and sketching on scrap paper ideas that came to me ,

the display cases themselves was the primary concern , but it struck me i needed my referance books accessible so the second cabinet incorporated a bookshelf on top ,

and the low-flat chest type was built for ammo storage and doubled as a place to photo my finds ,

Beautiful collection!!!!!!!!! And the displays do very nicely as well. Makes me wish that I had started collecting decades ago. I would guess that you have spent untold hours, miles etc. accumulating such a collection. You set the bar very high and thanks for the inspiration. Mark.
