No4T @ 800mtrs

I'm guessing the view through the scope is clearer than is easily shown in the photos, but a fine group of photos it is! Looks like a fine grouping on the plate as well...
What jumped out is the unusually acute angle of the grat. post tip. That and the purple hued tube, but the sun tends to heighten the effect.

Nice photo's & a nice looking piece of kit Paul. And you really are testing the 4T (& yourself) shooting out at that range.

jmoore, The scope is one of the Numrich Replica,s..... which will soon be replaced by a Genuine No32 Mk2 ( Thanks Peter) and one of Roger,s mounts... ( Thanks Roger) .:)
To its credit, the replica, has been performing very well....

Very but very interesting to say the least. Some rifle !
Most people think that you must have much more magnification to shoot such a target - at 800 meters. Really ?
By the way, what is the diameter of your target ?
-
I'd guess, going on that old chain sprocket, at between 18" and 24".
-
THere is a .303 round in front of the plate in one photo. you can get a rough scale off that. Then note the comparison of the grat width to the target in the last photo. Estimating the range won't be exact, but you can get a rough idea. Did some ciphering earlier ...
-
"Exact" range was 796mtrs....measured with Swarovski and Vectronix range finder,s...
-
I assume that was custom .303 hand loads?
If so, can you share with us what the spec was you loaded to?
Thanks again for pics.... absolutely beautiful country side. Wish I lived in those kind of wide open spaces with freedom to shoot in terrain like that ... :super:

Doug
