Ocular lenses, PP Co Patt 18 telescope

I am about to have, say, 5 sets of these 1.1" dia approx ocular lenses made for these telescopes. Any takers before I start? No prices yet but will be flint & crown glass and identical to original of course.

I'd be in - but could need more if they are interchangeable with the Australian scopes also?

Yep....... on the basis that those are all that I need! If you need other lenses you can have them made and do what I do. Get 5 or 10sets made to drastically reduce the cost, keep whet you need and sell the rest.

Talking of which.......... Who was it in Oz that needed a set of Tele Sct Regt OG lenses

Ain't got a clue Promo. But as they were made to the same drawings, I presume so. Bindi, pm sent. Any Australians know if the UK and Oz patt 18 ocular lens sets are interchangeable?

I bought a set off Peter a few years ago and they worked fine in my Australian Pattern '18.

Yep, they are interchangeable.

As with any lense change you may have to adjust the focus ever so slightly that's all.

I suppose it would be good insurance! One for me.

Is that TWO lenses (1 matching pair) or TWO SETS (two matching pairs)? The lenses come as optically matched sets/pair

1 set for me Pete. I don't actually NEED any, but one day a lovely Model 1918 scope will come in with a chipped ocular, sure as eggs is eggs.

Same here. One set. It's not like i haven't dropped scoped rifles before. (The 10x Unterl on the M40a1 abused the concrete floor from inside the rifle case, but didn't even lose zero! Now that's a tough scope.)

TWO sets - one as a spare, one for a scope.
