Unbelievably, I have already located a holster for it at a price I'm willing to pay. Same year as the pistols production, 1916.
A magazine is going to be a little more problematic. I can get a...
I discovered yesterday morning that my Cabela's points had rebounded from the Swiss 1882 revolver purchase last June so we went on a trip to Cabela's yesterday. I had done some looking online and...
That's good to know. I was wondering if you opened it up yet.
I've noticed that about the Vietnam stuff. That's who's still alive and trying to get their stuff back. I'm actually buying Desert Storm stuff when I didn't really want it until kind of recently. ...
Hit a surplus store I like yesterday and found an entire pile of British large packs with a few Belgians mixed in. Started digging out of curiosity and quickly found WWII dated ones. As they were...
It's a Russian Izhevsk stock. They were only made two years, 1953 and 1954 and are thus rarer than the Tula's. I have a Yugo and it's well made. They do not have chrome lined barrels however.
My Ross has one of those barrels. I question safety with full loads as the cartridge extends way beyond the heavy chamber. Maybe I'm wrong. We debated this a while back.

I don't know if any of them were military issue. Used by individual soldiers, probably but issue?
Wouldn't that make number 3 a 243 Winchester?
It will fit in a Tokarev and they are easy enough to get but I'd like the leather one made for it if I can find one.
These are available but also generic and not early.

I did find a reference to a holster. Apex had them a while back. Out of stock now. Looks like a Tokarev holster. Magazine’s are easy. Zastava sells them. Couple others have them as well.
This is my upcoming anniversary present from my wife. After 30+ years she's given up and basically left me pick my own gift, although she did actually suggest this after I casually mentioned it...
Scabbard looks good to me. Compared it with several examples online and it seems there is some variation in the color, possibly from age or use.
Found a lot of Chinese repros on eBay, must be a...
Sarco is running a sale on Swiss civil defense helmets. Arrived yesterday, never issued, right out of storage. A few marks here and there and it had some light cardboard stuck to it in spots that...
Follow up on the fork and the magnet. It's non-magnetic so an unmarked stainless. It had a rust stain on it but probably from something else. It came off pretty easily. So by all appearances,...
I'll have to check it with a magnet, never thought of that. Didn't take a photo of it as it's just a fork. I did take a photo of the older one just to find out roughly how old it was. This is a...
I did get a couple of things this weekend. I picked up a US mess fork, no date. Not sure if it's tin plated or stainless. Seems tin plated which would make it WWII but not sure. Same place had a...
That's the site that made me decide to buy it. Seemed a no brainer. They were only asking $15 for the one I bought. I use google image search for a lot of the things I buy. That page popped right...
Well that photo shows how the labels get messed up. They were used in quite a few things from what I've read, tanks also. Continued use postwar but the handles are different. Post war thermos have...
LOL, I was going to suggest ask Mike but then saw who posted it. eBay is probably your best bet.

Yes, you're right. I wasn't thinking map symbols.
A couple of unusual items this weekend.
But first a mess kit with a WWI knife and WWII silverplate fork. 1945 M.A Co mess tin, 1917 LF & C knife heavily personalized, possible southerner if...
Sometimes I've found wetting the surface makes the letters come out. Just be careful of staining. I haven't had it happen but it could. I just dab it a little, don't soak it.
Weather warmed up today, slightly above freezing, so I ventured out to my favorite antique flea market. Nothing outside but found a mess kit I didn't have inside. CARROLTON MFG CO 1965 with a SKOCO...
Yes, there is a definite difference between the boys and girls. I always take surveys before the season starts of the kids joining the team. Most of the boys have shot rifles before, most of the...
