Thanks Georg, theres another thread somewhere, think it was Paul Bleaky who posted it ? part of the body was machined away were the bolt locking lug would lock, it was done to aid loading.

Does anyone recall a thread and pics of either a Patt 17 or M1917 rifles that were converted to.22 ? I've done a few search's etc but never found anything. cant remember if it was here or on the .22...
