Would make you want to keep your Katana in top shape...
Yes they do. Wide chambers can make this more than less too.
Of course you are...

Don't think I read about that one, that can't have been good at all.
All good reasons why guys that just "Like carbines" should stick with obvious shooter grade. I'd end up trying to buy a nice one and get fleeced for sure.
Some info from our past threads here... I don't think anyone mentions the manufacture of the machines or type.

Mine was the same sort of polish with some wear marks, I don't think they're chromed. Just really nice stuff...
Yes, I was well aware of M1956 pouches...just using for pistol mags.
Not what I would have pictured either...two little mags rattling around in a big box, waiting to rattle right out. I built...
This is my third or fourth famine of this sort in recent memory.
A case separation isn't from excessive gas, it's from an oversize chamber. Excessive gas can rip off a rim however, stuck cases will rip off a rim... I doubt the manufacturer is starting with new...
Gorgeous, muzzle ring looks to have a slight backwards incline...have you tried it on an M1 to see how close they come? Mine all but fit, really close. What a nice looking piece of ordnance that is.
Never heard that one.
That was it, which was attached to the PX in Ft Lewis. Brand new gear, still have them here full of mags I haven't used since I got them...about 28 mags for 1911A1.
I prefer RCBS without question, never used a carbide die on Carbine. I lubed them and used standard dies. I trimmed to length and chamfered inside and out I used a modest case mouth bell because I...
Too bad there's no markings on the blade at all, I had a second war navy sword that was marked with a painted figure but at least that. The blade is beautiful, the Tsuba is tightened the way they...
Seen far to much of that. My kids said "At least we know your stuff is worth money"...I just have to hope they can corner the right two guys to come in and clear it. I'm moving as much as I can...
Agreed, should work fine.
Yes, they penetrate quick and then set.
Here's some threads about these markings... Most of this has been discussed at some point here, easy to find.

I was thinking it looks great as is...
I was curious as to why the butt was loose in the first place...shrinkage, no washer inside... I'd want to remove it and see.
There should be a few more guys wander by yet, there were some like Bear that were serving then too...
Well, he DOES claim to have a #1 Mk3...so front wood off first...
Our problem here is...will ANY of it be worth ANYTHING in a few years. The way they keep devaluing things in our line of interest...? I mean in my case.
Barrel looks to have been polished and blue but it could just be reflection. Bolt has been jewelled but that can be bead blasted off. It's been drilled and tapped for that rear sight, that takes...
From what I remember, single snap canvas pouches were in use with .45 mags. Certainly earlier. The double snap were gone and that leather one was strictly MP as you suggest. I bought all mine from...
