And a joyous Kwanza to you and yours!
It is silver over yellow.
I believe you have 440 rounds of Hungarian steel-cored heavy ball.
Ooops...I meant "lower stock piece".
Definitely Albanian production.
It was all apparently made in the 1950s, both calibers, and much of it was surplussed in the '70s and '80s. The 7.9 is the only surplus I shoot in my G43.
Not South African. You have post-war (1950s) 7.9 Mauser ammo made in Canada, on a clandestine US (CIA) contract. This well-documented "secret" ammo also exists in 9mmP.
Forgot to mention that it's...
Johnny Carson?
They should at least have a repro No.32 scope!
The M1A2 7.62x51 ammo is 100% South African, but I have never seen 7.5 Swiss in that unmarked cardboard packing. Perhaps you could open one so we could examine the cartridges?
A .600 Nitro should still fetch $75-$125, and a good .700 can bring perhaps up to $200. Unfortunately, I think most .700s were made up for collectors, not real rifle owners/shooter.
They're a bit wimpy, but nice enough. I enjoy shooting my MkVI much more.
I find 62 grainers to be significantly more accurate than 55 gr. in all my 1/7 barrels. Tried some IMI a few weeks ago and my groups shrank by a good 2 MOA over 55 gr.
Do you also have the power stock piece???
Always happy to translate Hebrew and give any Israeli insight I can.
Yes, but as you see Fede usually gets there first with the best info. We're convinced that he's really some kind of AI being, living in a super-computer (in Argentina), who has access to everything!
What barrel???
Interesting question.
I ran a village/kibbutz armory in Israel for about 4 years. I had 40 M-1 Carbines in stock and I don't recall any of the stamped markings you have shown. Now back then (1980s)...
That's near double what I've seen them go for in the past 2 years.
Got a bit of a "been there-done that" look to it...perfect. One of the sweetest shooting pistols you will ever meet.
Enjoy.
I had the rifle and I think I still have one of the rounds. Unfortunately I never had any spares to fire. Very interesting Post Office visit the day I shipped that out!
Not that I know of.
All I can offer is if you find something you want to see more of send me a PM or email and I'll try to capture it for you.
I'll post here if/when things there change. It really...
On-going problems with their automated membership system. Lots of robots were joining and spamming members. No fix yet, so they just shut down the joining system.
Sorry. Don't stop visiting. If you...
There was a problem a bit back with some kind of "fake member info" but I thought that was all fixed. I'll ask.
BOCN is a great ammo site to visit and hang out.
