Although you had large numbers of demobilised troops and refugees...
Thanks for the feedback guys...
Here in the UK, .22lr is plentiful and much cheaper than .30 Carbine.
It's just a shame the Chiappa is such utter junk.
Unfortunately, it seems fatally flawed...
That sums it up beutifully Charlie, utter junk. Its a shame, as a many folks would have had great fun with a .22 Carbine, if it could be made to work reliably.
I must admit, my thoughts on a...
Hi, I've seen the 10/22 stock sets, just wondering if any Carbine users would be interested in an actual conversion kit?
The ideal solution would seem to be the Italian dedicated .22 LR builds,...
Good point Jim, anyone see any real show stoppers here?
Perhaps leave the springs alone and make it .22WMR!
Do you guys think there would be a market for such a thing in the US?
So, we have our beloved M1's and you can buy the somewhat poor Chiappa M1-22, a .22 LR blow back facsimile of the original...
How about going one step further and using the Chiappa bolt design and...
Absolutely mate, we still get the odd drunken p***k going into local co-op without a mask and abusing the staff...
I happened to be in there last week when one of these drunk, dim witted fools...
Just had mine guys, at Bath Racecourse, extremely well organised.
Sadly, no surgar cube afterwards, but I did keep a weary eye on the vet with the revolver...
I wouldn't advise turning up with...
Interesting to note the 24 hour effect of the vaccine, my mother in law was in Hospital for 5 weeks for major heart surgery, late Jan and all of Feb. See said that when they vaccinated the staff in...
Got yours yet Geoff?
One point re the track and trace, I really didn't see much point in it after Covid was everywhere in the UK,too little, far too late.
Added to this, many people simply took the p*ss and carried on...
Same here, there's a vaccination center 10 miles from me, but, as the programme has progressed, it's specialised as a Senior Citizens and vulnerable centre, I have to go 25 miles to a local...
The problem is, the Mk5 Stens that have hit the collectors market over the last five years have come from all over the world.
You would have to have to know who the final user was first, before...
I booked my first jab for tomorrow morning and my second in two months.
Here in the UK they are planning everyone over 50 (but the tin foil hat wearing deniers) will be vaccinated by the end of...
Cheers RCS, I remember seeing pictures of still in the wrap L1A1's in Quantico, love to have a browse around that collection!
Lovely looking example, always liked the FN49, I had the privilege of handling one of the early wartime Enfield tool room trials rifles a few years ago.
I always liked the look of the T48, with its unique trigger guard...
How many T48's survive I wonder?
Military shotgun are the only types I
find interesting to be honest, shotguns just bore the crap out of me in general...
Hi Frank, as your L1A1 is freshly rebuilt, you probably won't really need the reamer, as you will no doubt clean her after every shoot properly, but it's nice to have.
I would just use a standard...
Anytime, great to have you back with us mate!
Just because its a Sterling based thread, here is one of 5 tatty old spec deactivated Sterling's I bought, cosmetically restored and sold a few years ago...
Lets see how long it takes for those...
Bloody hell Jim, it's got one hell of a rate of fire!
A basic point and spray SMG is just too easy to make by a good engineer with a half decent machine shop at his disposal...
This homemade...
Happy days Jim.......
Frank, the Tritium foresight blades come in two/three?? different marks.
All are difficult to come by now.
Good Wood work is also in short supply, either walnut or beech triangular two slot or...
Just to echo this, 'very minor' issues, absolutely nothing that will detract from an excellent read.
