Greetings All
Does anyone have a 1983 C&P L1A1 scope can or pictures of one? The pictures I have of one for the new book are low quality and I am hunting for better ones.
Thanks

Thanks guys, there is no broad arrow and a very thin black external thermoset finish. I do not remember paying that much for it and initially thought it was an Italian rebuild.
Apologies if this scope has been discussed before but I cannot find any information if it has. I am posting this on multiple boards in the hope that I might find someone who knows who manufactured...
I think you found another unicorn Roger, well done you lucky guy! With the introduction of the P14 Mk I*W(T) in early 1918 it would make sense that they also trialed the M1918 on a SMLE or two for a...
Many thanks. Other authors also gave me the same warning about future readers. My response to them is I cannot wait to see the correction in THEIR book. I will drop you a PM with the pre-print...
I have a correction, the "DO" is really a "DD" as you originally noted. The photograph I had really looks like a "DO" but I just managed to acquire one of these very rare "DD" rifles and the body...
BK6536 is the highest I have encountered. I have yet to see a DD serial number, however, this reported example might be mistaken and be a "DO" which I have documented existing but no reasoning for...

Congrat's this is the highest Kershaw Mk II scope s/n I have on record. Kershaw had two Mark II serial number blocks with the second running into their first Mark III serial...
Thanks Brian
I just need a nice clear body markings shot of the left side wall flat, my rifle is attached as an example. Attached also are the two pic's of the 1980s I have. The Maltby might be...

I need help from the group to see if anyone has, or has pictures of, L42A1s with 1973, 1976, 1978, and 1980 body dates. The only 1980 body date examples I have found are suspect and...
You have a very interesting rifle there Roger! Is the barrel matching the body? Either you have a very early .22 Pattern 1918 made on a previously marked .22 Pattern 1914 No. 2 body or one that was...
This girl popped up and I grabbed it for the group. Anyone with a Trials T with a missing or wrong backsight? Drop me a note and we can work something out.
UPDATE:
Gone to a good home
Thanks! Nigel hooked me up with the Enforcer brochure and police manual and Martin is in the process of getting me the Sterling and L42/L39 brochures and manuals. If the previous owner had anything...
Thanks PM sent
BSA did make new furniture for their 1953-54 Rifle No. 1 and No. 2 FTR program. Why one ended up on your rifle is a mystery that suggests that your rifle might be a post-service restoration.
Never but I will be printing fewer copies this time as I put out feelers last time for interested people and was left hanging. (Yes book 1 & 2 are still available and taking up room in my closet!!) ...

Does anyone have a 7.62 Sterling Catalogue and an RSAF Enforcer Brochure they can sent me photographs of in big MB files? I have an Envoy one personally but I am lacking the other...
Very little is known about the RFI Factory Repair on the No. 5(yours is the nicest I have seen). Edwards writes that RFI sporadically FR'd the No. 5 between 1952 and 1963 with approximately 10,000...
I just obtained this "rare" girl and thought I would entertain the group with her, a 1948 dated ROF Fazakerley Rifle No. 4 Mark 1/2 conversion. Yes, 1948.
Production of the Rifle No. 4 Mark 2...
That's them. With 2 in college, a new car payment, and an unknown huge bill coming for a propeller overhaul I....have.....to..... walk.... away....
Glad I could help, enjoy the expensive hobby we have! If you are ready to spend more money let me know I have a couple more .22s that I have found that I would love to have but don't "need"!
Your rifle is a converted C.G. Bonehill .22 MLM, #135 out of 300 commissioned in 1914 arriving in 1915 using retired MLM Mark I/I* rifles, not much is known about them. Your rifle has had its...
Thanks to the power of the internet and the brotherhood of Enfield collectors I have just acquired a bucket list No. 32 scope in trade. One of the rarest versions (but not the rarest, I missed out...
The tacked bracket definitely looks like an add-on, my best guess is a couple 20 round boxes of .303 would fit in there nicely

I just wanted to give a shout-out to all the Lee-Enfield Collectors that I still have copies of both books available if you are interested in holiday gifts. For overseas collectors,...
