I'm sorry, I've never heard of a bayonet specific for the "AR18"... I think you'll be fine. The AR18 is same as the AR180, they interchange perfectly, I had an early Armalite.

M7 Colt Bayonet
The M7 Bayonet arrived early yesterday in near mint condition. Marked Colt but no "Armalite" marking as hoped. None the less I feel very satisfied and indeed fits the 601 perfectly. It may take some time, but maybe a means to reproduce a 601 handle can be made despite the lack of the Armalite marking.

Do you understand why there are gaps between both ends of the handle on these bayonets? It seems to be common on all the M7's I've seen.

Just the fit of the bakelite, done a bit short to allow for differences. If the pommel becomes loose, the direction was to re-rivet and that would shorten a bit. If the muzzle ring became loose, hammer the retaining fork. Weld as a last resort. All these things made differences.
