LOL, I wish. Handguns actually can't be sold at yard sales or flea markets in PA unless you're a licensed FFL dealer. Rifles and shotgus are fine, just not handguns. I was expecting $350 and was shocked when I saw how much they are. A lot more than I want to spend. My 1935 was $450.00. I'm usually not into post WWII stuff in any case unless it's something I really like or they are dirt cheap.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. My accumulation has experienced creep into some early Cold War items. As you say, it was primarily due to running across targets of opportunity rather than by intention. As the regulatory noose closes here, I figured I'd bite the bullet on this one while I still could, despite the hefty bottom line.

Yeah, I have some creep also, SKS, AK, Makarov and a few others but all pretty good bargains at time of purchase. While I may pay that much or more for a wartime pistol, post war is out. At least until I get all the wartime which I have a long way to go.
