Sporterized Arisaka Type 99 Sniper value

Hello everyone, I got this Type 99 in a package deal a while ago. Was hoping someone could tell me the value. I know the parts are worth more probably than the rifle as shooter. Thanks.

303Tom is right. Too many holes in the receiver. Bolt handle looks like a decent weld job. Keep it as a rainy day hunting rifle.

Not a sniper. Simply messed with, drilled and tapped. A sniper will have the number on the top of rear receiver bridge, not on the left.

Kokura T99 snipers will be numbered 1-1000. They may have the ghost of a number on the left from before conversion.

Nagoya T99 snipers will have a number between 1 and 10,000.

That simple with the 7.7 rifles.

They certainly had adapted a sniper rifle. This mess posted was never one.

Nagoya made just under 15000 T97s in 6.5 Japaneseicon with 2.5X scopes. Kokura made 10000 in 6.5 Japanese with 2.5X scopes. These were "updated" with 1000 7.7 Kokura t99s with 2.5 scopes and 10000 Nagoyas in a mix of 2.5X scopes(cutbacks), 4X fixed, and 4X externally adjustable.

  12. Thank You to mike radford For This Useful Post:
