Does anyone have a Pattern '13 rifle in the US, because I saw one...
Just curious whether anyone in the US owns a P '13, mostly because I saw one at gun show and its been nagging at my conscious whether anyone picked it up for what it is; unless it was a fake.
Maybe 10 years ago there was one for sale at gun show in the San Francisco bay area that I foolishly passed on because I was looking specifically for a P '14 for my collection as a service rifle that had seen some action, not some noncombatant trials rifle! And of course before I knew that most Pattern '14s had not seen any frontline action anyway. The stock looked genuine enough and the finger grooves looked legitimate and not bubba but it was so long ago that I do not remember the markings, so that is all I have to go on.
I know the chances are long but they are rare enough that I was curious whether anyone has this one or has heard something about it.

There was a fake Pattern 1913 at the Grand Rapids gun show last week end. The angle of the dished grooves was wrong and it was branded .276 in the wood. six digit serial number (only made 1250) and welded chamber as the "maker" used an Indian DP cheapie.
I wasn't interested as I have originals.

Beyond nice! Cornering the world market on P'13s I see. I wonder if any of those four were the one I saw that wandered around the market 10 years ago and ended up on your coast.
