Log In Problem on Jouster
Hello Admin:
I registered and posted several times on the CSP Jouster
forums. Recently though I haven't been able to log in there. I enter my info and the "redirecting" screen pops up with the "Thanks for logging in, Cass". After that it goes back to the prior not logged in status.
I finally discovered that i could log in here. I even tried coming here first then back to jouster, but it goes back to the prior logged off condition.
Thanks,
Cass

Well I was able to log on on Jouster
now. I had been entering through an old jouster link and through the header on the index. When I went to the individual sub-forum tabs on the index it worked.
Thanks,
Cass

Here's a follow up post for any other old CSP members who may be experiencing some strange things.
Please follow these steps..
First of all, DO NOT connect to the NEW site by using an OLD bookmark in your Internet browser that points to the old Jouster
web site. That will cause you to be in a loop that doesn't know who you are and it could cause a login problem, a posting or reply problem, or even just a blank white screen. In other words, use a direct link to get to the new forums ie:
Code:
https://www.milsurps.com/forumdisplay.php?f=73
Once you've done that, SAVE it as a NEW bookmark in your browser and delete the old bookmark.
Assuming that's not the problem, please do this, as I think you have a stored "cookie" problem on your system .....
CLEAR your cookies, cache and history in your Internet browser. Turn your system OFF and ON....
Go to the web site and try to login. Type in both of the boxes your name in one and your password in the other. Check the small square box titled "Remember Me?" so you don't have to log in any more, because it sets a "cookie" on your computer.
If you are logged in properly was successful, then in the top right corner of the screen you should see your user name indicating you are logged on. If you see blank boxes titled "User Name" and "Password" then you are NOT logged in.
Hope this helps some folks ....
Regards,
Badger
