    Our daughter bought a Glock

Our 21 year old daughter just got a Glock 22 and is all excited about it. Being almost strictly a military surplus collector and shooter it's quite an exotic looking weapon to me. She will be getting training on how to use it. She turned 21 in February and I gave her a Russianicon Model 95 Nagant revolver for her birthday. She was married last December and her husband whose in the National Guard and headed to Iraq shortly told her to use their income tax refund to get the Glock.

She's going to her have picture posted on My Space with her two hand guns to, as she said it, pi$$ of her liberal hippie friends! She's already taken flak for it not that it bothers her.

When I went with her initially to order it, the salesman asked if it was going to be her "duty weapon". I smiled at that one. She would probably make an impressive LEO given that she's 6'-1" and physically strong. She could also be a super model given her looks.

She's already looking at othe hand guns! I think she has my weakness for weaponry.

Good for her. Professional training is a must, preferably with some who will teach her how to fight with it, and not just target shoot.

    Can she CCW in Wisconsin?

Stevo, concealed carry is forbidden in Wisconsin but open carry is permitted though I don't think she'll walk around with it that way. Carl

No, that's not a real good option when she's at the market.

At least she has the decision to make. No one gets a carry permit in this country unless they're a judge or a Hell's Angel who's turned into a Crown witness.

The more women in places like Wisconsin that we can get to appreciate the legitimate use for guns, the less chance there will be for stupid gun control laws. I have been saying, at least it appears to me that there is a change in attitudes in some, especially since 9-11. Make sure your daughter and family join NRA if not already done so.

Carl R, your daughter can get a .357 sig barrel for about $125/150 that drops into the Glock22. Then she would have two calibers. Uses the same mag too. But ammo is a bit more.
When I work graves, my wife's pistol is a Sig Equinox in .40 she loves it. She shoots < 3" groups at 25 yards and she is only 5' 4" and 125#

My son and I are NRA members and I'm pretty sure my son in law is or will be again when he gets back from the Sand Box. It sure has become a pain finding pistol ammo these days. I've been searching online for .40 S & W without much luck. Carl

    Got this in my e-mail

Got this in my e-mail from a friend a while back, but it does me little good since I've been a card carrying member of the NRA for years.
