Hello,
About 6 months ago I picked up this sportered Remington 1903A3 and posted pics here and got some good advise for restoring it. I have since bought all the parts I need to bring it back to original.
The stamped trigger guard I picked up is in really good condition but it has either very dry cosmolinespattered all over it or it is old shellac. I'm thinking at some point it was mostly cleaned of cosmoline and not wiped off 100%. There are spatters and runs of the stuff.
What is the best way for cleaning this up without hurting the parkerizing?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Norm.Information
