    03A3 Barrel Markings

Just wondering if anyone knows what the deeply stamped 1SN is on this barrel. It is also stamped VSN1 further down the barrel.
    Thanks

First image shows "I or 1SM". I was tired and it looked like a abbreviation for Is mine. Thought it was funny but now I am not so sure. Thanks!!

The V1SN is the barrel steel lot code, which identifies the batch of steel and manufacturer that the barrel was made from. This code was stamped by Remington during barrel machining. The "1SN" marking appears to be a steel lot code that was stamped into the barrel blank by the steel manufacturer.

Hope this helps. Thanks for the pictures!

Thanks for the reply, that was the only thing on the rifle that I was not sure about.
