Had to stay home this weekend, and miss this show. And I find out that Ian S. was there, too!
Thanks for the report on the Enfield status there. I've found a couple of good ones there. I need the Broad Arrow, too...
I'm hacked off.......
You going to Knob Creek in a few weeks?

I saw the ex trials T there. I didn't take it off the rack to look at it but from what I could see it had the waisted front sight protector and the button cocking piece and it had a MkI telescope. The info said it came with the wooden chest and scope case. The condition of the rifle and scope appeared to be in excellent condition. Ray

I have never been, is it worth going? That is the same weekend as the C&E Show in Wilmington, OH. I have not been to this show in a long time and my father-in-law wants to go to it.

I believe it was you that referenced this book in a previous post, which is the reason I picked it up. It was just an added bonus that Ian was at the show. I ran into him a year or so ago at a show and picked up a few of his books.
I must admit it is nice to see guys that contribute to this site being acknowledged in the books. I wish I had a fraction of the knowledge most of you on here have. With time, maybe I will get a fraction of the fraction

Yes
Well worth going to. Make sure you bring ear protection, money, (lots o money), comfortable shoes, and money! Great show and shoot, too.

limpetmine,
It looks like you have convinced me to go. A good friend of mine lives in Bardstown and we have decided to go down next Friday, that way I can still make the show in Wilmington on Saturday.
If you happen to see a guy looking at a 1942 ROF-F and stating that is a nice looking No.4 MkI (no star) Savage, that will be me

Good for you. I like going Friday best, and bug out after lunch on Saturday, but I'm bringing a friend who can't get off Friday, so we'll be there early Saturday morning. Where is Wilmington? We're going to stay for the night shoot Saturday, then crash, and drive home Sunday. Last year (Or 2, can't remember) on the way home was a little show in E-town, then one in Nashville. We stopped on everyone on the way home. I wasn't on gun show overload, but I was CLOSE!
No jab intended on the ROF! I was wondering what I missed! Nice, early Enfields are getting harder to come by. I just got me a cherry of a 1942 Maltby, will be here in a week or so. I'll post pics when it arrives.
If you stick around on Saturday, look me up. I'll be loitering around Brian.
