DECEASED
M1A1 Stocks.
Has anyone seen any of these stocks floating around yet ? This pic was posted about three years back, by a guy in Germany
, who claimed to have found a few boxes of them in an unidentified South East Asian country. He did not respond very well to my e mail questions. Mike. N.Z

No, but there was a couple (two) I saw about two years ago made very milspec (no m2 cut and parkerized). A guy was selling them as repros on Ebay to see if there was a market with re-enactors. He was having them done by somebody in Europe with American walnut. I exchanged a couple emails with him, then he dropped of the radar. He said he corrected the common fault of the lug holding the barrel assembly too high. They looked VERY nice. They sold for about $100 more than the other repros that were going for $175 at the time. ANybody know anything about him?

How about the two on ebay [1 sold] That were mixed/original metal-replacement wood with bad markings? The pics looked the same,Looked like sand blasted and states new parkerizing, with what looks like plastic/vinyl cheek pad. $199 and $585.
Looks like both listing gone. The one for $199 would have been worth it if it had original finish metal.

They came from Malaysia, German dealer travelled there, paid the complete purchase price for complete m1a1 carbines, stripped off the stocks shipped them back to germany, and left the metal. Started selling a few of the stocks on ebay about 3 years ago. then stopped. all remaining metal (carbines) were then resold (when the dealer did not come back for them with import paperwork) and exported to canada where they were sold off as restricted weapons. I think he my have been a buyer for Frankonia Jagd of Germany
and cherry picked the M1a1's on the side for himself.

M1a1 Stocks
looking at the M1a1photo posted. The M1a1's I seen at nexgen defense, were in about the same condition as those. I observed that there were 8 low wood and 4 highwood. 9 had good leather and 3 had torn leather. all rivets rolled and 4 had brass, the others were steel rivets. This is probably the largest inventory I had ever seen of carbine,garand,1911,1919,1903 and thompson parts (maybe more) I called the sales person I met that day, and he will keep me abreast of when the items will come up for sale. He said the owner of the company had not decided on what he wants to do but wants to clear warehouse space. so release of items is comming soon. any other info out there for these guys? thanks in advance hi575
