Peening barrel band screws
Can anyone describe the proper manner for peening the screws that tighten the barrel bands on the 1903? Is there a special tool?
I have a rifle with three of the screws unpeened. They are hollow ended screws. (Yes, this is a rebuild from some source, not authentic but a rather nice example for shooting.) It appears that the tool for turning eyelets would be correct in the right size. Thanks in advance, John McP

I haven't tried to peen one, but the eyelet tool may just well work.
