The Danes sold their Garands for a song, and it was a minor national scandal. A Danish
soldier I knew in Afghanistan was politely envious when I told him how cheap they were in Canada
(for a time). I suspect the rifles were either sold back to H&K or scrapped. There are some high minded United Nations principles about reducing the international small arms supply. Bad people use them for evil, don't ya know?

They wouldn't be imported to the USA
unless approved as a registered post May 1986 dealer sample machine gun or as a cut up parts kit. That means the receiver is torch cut in three places and with no bolt assembly or barrel after they were banned from import in July 2005.
