No32 Scope bracket numbers

Hello
I have a question about the numbers on the side of the scope mounting bracket on a No4 T, is it the scope serial number or the rifles serial?

I know that the Canadian built sniper rifles had the rifles serial number on the bracket, but is this true for the UK built snipers?

I'm quite sure it should be the rifle's serial number. The bracket on my mismatched BSA certainly carries another rifle's serial number.

Rifle S/N, if any.

If it doesn't have numbers that's even better! If the rifle was surplused fairly early on the numbers may never have been added. It's purely a post-WWII method of keeping things from getting mixed up.
