Good ww2 photos of M1 carbines. Correct no bayonet lugs,flat bolt,flip L shaped rear site. Adjustable sites and bayonet lugs were added after 1945 in refit.

Adjustable rear sights were in use in early 1944 and bayonet lugs in late 1944.

Was the appearance of adjustable rear sights more or less uniform across primary contractors or were some pc's more likely to have used them that early?
