Anybody here have this problem?
Hello all, like most all of you I am a member of a number of forums. A member of another forum I belong to recently had a particularly disturbing experience with the "customer service" folks on the Guns America auction website. I'm old fashioned when it comes to customer service and find this kind of treatment appalling. I'm simply passing a link to this thread along as means of discussion and was curious, for my own sake, to see if any of you have had a similar experience. Feel free to chime in. Even if you have no interest, it really is at least worth reading the initial two posts written by the gentleman who started the thread. He copied the emails that were sent to him by GA. You will be picking your jaw up off of the floor. Unbelievable.

It's just my opinion, but I wish I'd said that. In 33 years of LE I had to say what was politically correct. Take reports from people who left laptops and expensive jewelry in a convertible with it's top down, handle lock-outs to the same person for the 5th time, have someone report an item stolen that they had stolen in the first place! I bet if we saw the original sale post as well as the buyers posts it would make us laugh...or cry, that's why there are Darwin Awards.

Sarge, do you mean that you think this guy got what he deserved? I think that regardless of the situation, customers come in all shapes and sizes. And though some may be frustrating beyond belief, as a customer service rep. it gives you no right to talk to somebody that way. I don't know the details of the sale in question but in fairness we have all at some point or another found a gun that was being sold well below market value. They are out there to be had every day. We don't know the sellers situation. The guns could be an inheritance and he has no idea what they are, he could be in the middle of a foreclosure and needs to move it quick, even at a loss. I've bought guns in both of those scenarios before. Again, I don't know the details so I can't say just how far out in left field it was.
I'm a big fan of common sense too and I think you and I are on on the same page of being so frustrated with the same stupid people it's hard not to want to speak our mind. (13 years and counting in the Navy dealing with military politics) But did you ever tell someone what you thought? Probably not because you understand professionalism. I too have to often bite my tongue! : ) I loathe stupid people but without knowing the details, and regardless, that's just over the top. I'd fire that rep in a heartbeat if he worked for me.

This happened on Guns America, the aggrieved party is airing his experience on another forum ShotgunWorld, we don't know what actually occurred at Guns America, we only get the one person's side. I just searched Guns America for complaints, this isn't the first time this kind of response was sent, but the their (GA) response does mention all the threats the complainer registered prior to said response, draw your own conclusion. Anyway you did say feel free to chime in, I just feel the frustration from the other point of view.
