Very nice! .....
Did you do the scope mounting yourself?

No. He bought the scope and turret mounts from Robert Spielauer and Robert took the scope partial apart to install the one piece rings onto the tube. Once my brother got them from Robert, we paid a little visit to Klaus Hiptmayer
to have the mounts mounted properly onto the receiver. Shoots great too.

Nice rig, how about a few more pics...
Is the byf 44 a RUssian capture as well?

More pictures in a few weeks.
RC byf 44?
95% sure that it is not. Stock seems to be a German
refub replacement with the serial#'s in the proper script in the proper place. Some small parts might have been replaced. No signs of forced matching otherwise. He's had the rifle for close to twenty years.

Beutiful!!!
Just like my build really, which isnt done yet, but will be within 2 months or so. Only difference is I will be using the "cad" hensholdt 4power scope, and my rear sight cover is original. BTW, where did you find your repro rear sight cover?
Do you find you lose zero by removing the scope of its bases?

Hi Sigismund,
Thanks for the compliment ,I feel like a new father that just received his new born.I have been waiting a long time for this moment
That is my rifle that you see.I am diopter's little brother I got the rear sight cover from Ostfront militaria, they have an extensive line of German
repro stuff. But they sold out of that item.Mine was stamped as SS issue. You do have a choice when they are available, either in Wheremacht ,or SS stamp. If you need anything else just ask.
Cheers
