Shane Carbine case
Guys, I'm no good at IDing cases, having only seen one in person. This looks like a very nice Shane 1944 case to me. It has a couple of things different than Riesch mentions though. (1) It has a Talon brass zipper and (2) it has a leather pull on the zipper instead of canvas. Is this common for genuine, because Riesch says differently? I know none of the books are absolute. Anyway, I have to give a quick answer to keep the case or not. Here are a few pics. I have more. TIA. SHANE 1944 is on the top and right. M-D 1945 is always on the bottom or left.

Don't know anything about the Reisch book, but this is an original 1944 Shane with a Talon zipper and leather pull.
