It's an Underwood Carbine since the serial numbered part is the receiver. Underwood made their own barrels as did Inland, Saginaw, Winchester, Rock-ola, IBM. I believe it originally wouldn't been made with an Underwood barrel. Interested in selling?
I'm always interested in wayward Carbines.
ETA: And welcome. Have you got a picture of the Carbine?

What you have is an Underwood M1
carbine, rebuilt with a Saginaw barrel. Underwood utilized their own barrels(I am thinking it should have an Underwood barrel dated around 8-43). There are some neat YouTube videos on how to assemble/disassemble your rifle and its parts.

Welcome Globalfrey
Nice seeing new members signing on.
If you have any questions feel free to ask the board or E-mail me or send a Private Message.
Click on my username under my Avatar and you'll see contact options.
For Pictures:
I use Photobucket, it's free. I usually take my pictures and load them on a desktop file, then hit upload on Photobucket, find that file and keep it in a named file in Photobucket AKA Underwood 4,012,218.
Once there I click on the IMG code until it is copied, then use the Advanced post here to paste it in to.
Always a good idea to try the 'Preview Post' option to make sure your picture is there. If all is OK, then hit 'Submit Reply'
BTW: Your Underwood didn't happen until we see a picture or two...... or 3 or.. Well we love pictures.
We'll go easy on you for now...... but we want to know much more about that Underwood. What parts, sights, trigger housing/ housing internals, stock...... you getting the idea?
Again Welcome,
