k98 bolt disassembly if the bolt is out and not on "half safe"
I removed the bolt for cleaning, got distracted by a phone call, when I returned my son trying to be helpful move the safely lever. Now I can't get it back to "half Safe" to take it apart. The firing pin is protruding. Help!!

Thanks for the quick reply. I called my dad a WWII vet, he had me put the muzzle down, take the lug on the cocking piece and catch it in the stripper clip guide, bolt face up. Then pull up to release the tension. Worked like a charm, sat here for two hours. Thanks Doug.
