    Fun in the rain.

Over the weekend I took a two-day carbine class from Phase Line Green Tactical.

I ran my 12.5" NEA AR with DD fixed BUIS, Aimpoint Comp M2 in an ARMS mount, Magpul MOE grip, and BFG VCAS two-point sling.

The carbine ran like a top. I didn't clean or lube it after the first day as I wanted to find out when it would choke. About halfway through the second day I need to squirt some CLP in to keep it running smoothly. Two days of continuous rain seemed to wash the grease out faster than normal.

I only shot Wolf WPA polymer coated .223 and had zero issues with it. I used a mix of old USGI mags with Magpul followers and Pmags. The Pmags had some issues with rounds squirting out the top when drawing from my mag pouches. Apparently the older generation coloured mags have weak feed lips. I won't be using them for anything other than plinking at the range anymore.
