M1 Carbine inland receiver/barrel retromatching question.
I have recently come into possession of a large group of M1
carbine parts. I have everything except the receiver and rear sight. The barrel is an inland barrel dated 1945 - 4 . I know these parts were taken off an M2 receiver. My question is what serial number range of inland M1 receiver would be time period correct for retromatching with the barrel?? Or am i SOL for finding an M1 receiver in the correct range? Did inland convert over to M2 production completly during april of 1945??

Pretty much, yes, you would need a seven million M1
and they are rare. So just settle for a 6.9 if you can find one.
