Those Amazing Ebay Deals
Been a while since we had one of these but this one appealed to me:
Amazing Wwii Pacific Theatre Converted Bayonet | eBay
It is a one of a kind, genuine Pacific Theater made highly collectible must have bayonet.
Looks to me like a Spanish bayonet that had all the bayonet features ground off and then chrome plated. At $250.00, seems like a real bargain and I'm surprised no one took him up on it.

I would say a M1912 Spanish maybe, South American? Not my cup of tea but interesting.

The e-bay audience is better informed than I thought.

Amazing! A Spanish Mauser Bayonet that made it's way to the Pacific Campaign! It's not complete though. Now it's been 'Pimped Up', it's missing the detachable drinks cabinet & removable ashtray from a 155mm Field Gun....

So I take it that we're all agreed that "amazing" was indeed an appropriate adjective, in the sense of "gobsmacked"?
And in which town is the "Pacific Theatre" that apparently had this item in its wardrobe & effects department?

More amazing is the price tags that were on some bayonets at the recent Birmingham International, eye watering, the No7 has gone up 50% since last year and the 1888 and 1903,3 would say have gone up about 75%
