    Looking for sling info

    I have 2 slings marked MRT one with black steel tip and the other is black brass tip.
    Which one would be the earlier version or was the matirial based on the manufactor?

    MRT is Mildew Resistant Treatment and was used much later then WW2 slings. Now some may have been treated but most are post war. If the tips are what are called D tips then they very well may be post war. If they are C tip slings then the brass came first if I remember correctly. Pictures of the sling tips will tell.

    They are post war D tip slings. Just was not sure which material was used first. The brass or steel after they switched from the C style tips.

    Being post war, the steel and brass could have been made at the same time by different makers.
