Thanks ; I know about early m2 type IV Inland stocks. To me an early Inland stock was a Type I. Never heard of L-A except 'Ca.' I was thinking non GI. GK

Hmm, super long barrel channel with type two and/or band marks on it makes it pretty fake in my book. The LA marking was pretty early in production and not used that much.

I was thinking maybe a "replacement" stock, but guess anyone could have applied rack numbers to the grip. The milling pattern at the back below the recoil shelf area may be a clue?? - Bob

The only L-A stocks that I've ever seen were I-cuts!
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!
