Underwood WTA - Winchester
I have really enjoyed this site, thank you for including me. I have an Underwood WTA 2,399,591 with Winchester parts. Can anyone tell me the service date and corresponding Winchester S/N. Thank all of you for a great site.

One reference says serial numbers 2,352,520 - 2,912,519 were completed March or April 1944. I don't know what your asking about "corresponding Winchester S/N".
Winchester marked the "WA". The "T" was already there from another Underwood sub contractor, "Intertype Corp." I have seen a few, and the WA is not as deep or hard punched as the T.

The receiver was sold to Winchester by Underwood about May 1944 after Underwood finished it's carbine contract. A bit of a guess would be during the summer of 1944 is when Winchester used these receivers. I don't think there was more then one to two months total production with these receivers.
