Good to put a face to a name. What range is that?

Good to see you. Seems to be a bit of everything there. Is that a Long Lee or Lee Metford second from left rear row?

Isn't that what used to be called a "range rifle" down yonder: a LE MkI or CLLE fitted with a SMLE H barrel in a shortened forend?
2nd from right in rear row appears to have no foresight?
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”
Edward Bernays, 1928
Much changes, much remains the same.

Peter, Trentham rifle range, Upper Hutt. You have probably been there or close, its the other side of the road to Trentham Army camp. Army bomb disposal range as well.
There were mostly SMLE's, P14s, & No4s. Yes some older ones, I am not up on the-Pre No4s much.
For the picture we had just shot at 300yds, 17 of us. I tried 500yds today but the gun was all over the place something like 4MOA or more so I retired, didnt shoot 600yds, no point. I dont know what it is but its shooting very badly. I am going to swap sights out to see if its that, then put the forestock on my Parker Hale no4 and see how it shoots, it makes no sense.
