Journal who fought in the Kumwa Valley two years later in late 1952 -- a good example of the seesaw nature of the Korean War.

Master Sergeant Stumbo was a member of the 160th Infantry Regiment, 40th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on 26 February 1952.
Stumbo was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
