yes I think !! i load up pistol can use double action or single action then can possible fire one to 2 times then say on the third shot hammer will pull back but pulling back the trigger it will not fire the hammer just stays back but it will fire the next round usually just happens one cylinder per 8 shot did mark the cylinder to see if the same one all the time no such luck ! couple times did try and just dry fire it pulling back hammer sort of hard the holding hammer not letting it slam forward hard but I did go thru all eight holes !!! I hope that answers your question thanks for you help bill

Ok, odd,, especially in single action since the cylinder has already moved forward and lockup has been achieved. The only thing left is to trip the sear.
The only thing I can think of is to stone the hand, take off only 1 or 2 thou. As you pull the trigger the hand has to move at least the distance of the sear notch so that the sear can trip "it's attached to the trigger" If your .32 auto cylinder ratchet hasn't been fitted to this gun, Things could be too tight. Don't mess with the ratchet, you could really muff things up then. If it was only a double action issue there could be a lot more things to check but this is all I can think of if it's a single action issue too.
I'm assuming you understand what I'm talking about and can check for yourself and do the work yourself of course.

thanks for the reply the 32 auto cyl. is a after market which was bought some time later. the pistol can be shot single action or double action it can fire 2 shots double action the with hammer back can not fire it hammer just stays back seems like it freezes up ever 2 or 3 shot .I just dry fired 11 shots by pulling back the trigger an then firing it the 12 one decided not to fire and the trigger stayed back like all the rest of the times! ... I can try and stone the hand which rotates the cylinder a little bit poss. some burrs etc. or a hard buff wheel ? the only thing had done to the rachet was using a wire brush over and around it and using stone to LIGHTLY remove burrs an etc sure is shiny now thanks for your help bill

How does it shoot with the original cylinder ?
If it works with the original then your cylinder has a problem.
I you have the same problem problem then something is amiss in the action.\
Good Luck
MJ, don't take this personally, but that's crap.

I'll bet that does it. Take the side plate off, replace the cylinder and work the action until it seizes. You'll be able to SEE whats causing it.

That's the problem then. Like these guys are eluding to...I once bought a cylinder for a S&W M&P that had been made in Mexico I think. It was hideous...and was thrown into the flood flats locally. No hoe of it working. They simply MUST be fitted.
