Greetings, to start things off I wanted to share my first acquisition of my vintage (work in progress) gun collection.
I acquired this piece at a gunshow, and it came with a magazine and bayonet(still sharp! (the sling was added later). I have Serial #K1477 on the bolt, under the rear sights, receiver(haven't checked the barrel number yet), and the Nosecap. I also found a mysterious P behind the trigger guard.
One of the reasons I'm posting this is because I've seen most enfields on the nets marked to hell like a 5 year old went nuts on the stamper and this one doesn't is there any particular reason for that? Ill post every marking I can find and leave it to your expert judgment.
Checked for headspace with a Forster Field Gauge and fired about 20 rounds through it without a problem. I'm loving the Enfields cock on close action!
