Beautiful carbine! I've always wanted one but haven't pulled the trigger yet. We have a guy up here who sets up at the RK gun show with 3 tables of nothing but carbines. I just stare lol

John,
You work hard making a living, you deserve a hobby, and theirs no better hobby then to start a collection of some part of our History, and to start with a carbine from WW-2 is a great way to do it. you won't regret it. and you won't miss the money, it's not like your buying a new chevy. Vett. we only go around once. go buy a part of History, get that carbine. "PULL THE TRIGGER"

I don't have hundreds anymore
I don't blame you one iota for not trusting GB. My only advise is find one, post it here and let us help you determine whether it is a solid carbine or not.

I will do that Bill,
That's part of the fun of this hobby is posting pic's of your find's and getting comment's from those who know, like you. I have been doing my homework [ref. U.S M1 Carbines, Wartime Production] I feel I'm up to speed on the carbine, I just need to brush up on the folding stock. I know you are a GURU on M 1 carbines, I have seen your large collection [pic,s] I am going to a military gun show next sat. and if I see one, I plan on getting it if its a true WW 2 M1A1
.
I have been putting it off to long.
I like that: We're surrounded, that simplifies things! Now just shoot in any dir. your bound to kill one.

Thank you very much for your kind words but there are many many more who are far more versed in these little gems than I. I will, however, do my best to assist in any way I can.

Sometimes you find originals modified for the M2 selector switch.

That's right, they did the mod when the order came out. They didn't care about collectability or originality.
